To be the fastest, you’ll need the fastest wheels. Wheels that are all about slicing through the wind and getting you to the finish line as quickly as possible. Wheels where there has been not sacrifices made, and are all about speed. That is where our Aero 86 carbon fiber wheels come in. They are the perfect wheel for time trials and triathlons.

Our 86mm deep rims are constructed from a mix of Toray T700 and T800 carbon fiber. The mixing of these fibers has allowed us to build deep section wheels that are light. An Aero 86 wheelset is around 100g lighter than the solely Toray T700 Fast and Light 86 wheelset.

We have kept the same modern aero shape as the Fast and Light series, we have just made it lighter and improved the brake track. It was already highly heat tolerant, but we’ve raised the tolerance threshold another 60°.

Our rim is tubeless ready, and you’ll be able to fit slightly wider tires for a more aerodynamic ride. By going tubeless, you can let the pressure out for comfort, and have it reward you with even more speed. It is a win/win if ever there was one.

Keeping the wheelset highly affordable, you’ll find a set of sealed bearing ICAN R01 hubs in the center of the wheelset. These hubs have helped to lose weight on the wheels further as the front hub is two spokes lighter than the hubs supplied on our Fast and Light wheels.

Lacing the hubs to our carbon fiber rims is the best aero spoke available on the market. Yes, we have fitted the super light, and super-stiff Sapim CX-Ray spokes to our wheels.

Features

Wide Rim Tech

25mm rim wide creates a better, more stable support, while the shape of the tire and rim together creates regular, stable air flow, in short, more aerodynamics, less attrition. provides an ideal basis for 25/28mm tires, the sizes currently popular.

2-Way Clincher Tubeless. Tubes or No-Tubes

Use either traditional tires with tubes, or tubeless tires without tubes. Tubeless tires can provide lower rolling resistance and better protection from punctures.

Sapim CX-RAY As light as a titanium spoke

The CX-Ray still receives the best results in fatigue testing of any spoke. The CX-Ray aero spoke combines excellent aerodynamics with low weight and great strength. Not only are they more aerodynamic, they also make wheels lighter and stronger. Its unique strength and flexibility make the CX-Ray suitable for most bicycle disciplines. CX-Ray spokes are used by top bike racers and triathletes around the world.

UCI Approved

This wheelset has been certified and approved by the UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale), for use in UCI sanctioned road races.
