You either hate climbing hills on a bike, or you own an A2. The A2 is the perfect hill climbing road bike. Being constructed from Toray T800 carbon fiber, it is super-lightweight but also stiff enough to transfer your power without being bent out of shape like a wet noodle.
Yes, we noticed some lightweight bikes are pretty inefficient at transferring power, so we had our engineers sit down and go through various computer modeling ideas until they arrived at the perfect frame and carbon fiber layup. The end result was our new A2 frameset.
To help power you up hills we outfitted the A2 with a PF30 bottom bracket, you should have no issues fitting a crankset with this bottom bracket size. You’ll also find that your power is all being directed to the rear wheel every time you press down on the pedals.
To keep the stiff theme going we have also gone with a tapered head tube. Keeping your steering precise no matter how hard you are pulling or pushing the bars.
We also added some details to bring comfort as we all like a little bit of comfort on our race bike. We have flattened the seat stays to help kill off road buzz from reaching you. The seat stays come round our seat tube and join the top tube.
Our frame also takes a 27.2mm seat post as we have found the properties of most 27.2 seat post are excellent for comfort. To make your job building the frame comfortable we had carefully thought out the frame’s internal routing so you will have your cables through and be out riding before you knew it.
