If you fancy yourself as a powerful rouleur, and after all, who doesn’t? Then our Aero 55 DT Swiss will be the perfect disc brake road wheel for you. These wheels have been designed to help you power away; they won’t flex as you put out big watts, they’ll just help you distance everyone. These wheels will help you to become a breakaway artist.
The Aero range takes our tubeless ready shape and makes it lighter. We lost the weight and kept all the same great qualities by mixing Toray T700 and T800 carbon fiber.
The 55mm deep shape on Aero 55 is a modern blunt aero shape; it helps to guide the air around your wheel. To further increase the aero efficiency of our wheel rim, we have gone with a wider shape. The wider shape allows your tires to meet the edge of the rim in a way that helps to stop the airflow from detaching and becoming drag.
When ordering a set of Aero 55 wheels, you’ll be given a choice of two disc brake ready DT Swiss hubs. You can pick from the lighter 240S or, the more affordable 350S. Whichever hubset you pick you’ll be benefitting from DT Swiss’ famous quality and ease of maintenance.
Attaching your choice of hub to our carbon fiber rim will be a set of Sapim CX-Ray spokes. These aero spokes are super light, but they are still super strong and are the choice of many professional racers.

2-Way Clincher Tubeless. Tubes or No-Tubes
Use either traditional tires with tubes, or tubeless tires without tubes. Tubeless tires can provide lower rolling resistance and better protection from punctures.
Sapim CX-RAY As light as a titanium spoke
The CX-Ray still receives the best results in fatigue testing of any spoke. The CX-Ray aero spoke combines excellent aerodynamics with low weight and great strength. Returns Policy
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the 'Complete Orders' link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
Shipping
We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.
When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.
Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.
