Many wheel companies are no longer progressing with their rim brake wheels. We felt that was a shame as rim brakes are still the choice of many riders around the world. That is why when we were designing our Aero 50 wheels with DT Swiss hubs we also improved the brake track.

When we were working on this new layup, we also had a look at the brake track on our wheels. For when you need to fly down Alpine descents, we have taken the heat tolerance up to a notch, the new Aero rims can withstand 300°, which is a 60° increase from the already pretty good standard of 240°.

Helping you climb up those hills to enjoy the descent we offer you a choice of DT Swiss hubs. You can pick from either the more affordable 350S or, the lighter 240S. Both hubsets come with the star ratchet system. So you can be sure that every time you pedal out of a hairpin you’re getting instant drive.

Holding these parts altogether, we have a set of Sapim CX-Ray Aero spokes. These areo spokes are light, but they are also super stiff. They match perfectly with our rim and make sure you’ll never get any of that annoying brake skiff when your climbing.

Features

Wide Rim Tech

25mm rim wide creates a better, more stable support, while the shape of the tire and rim together creates regular, stable air flow, in short, more aerodynamics, less attrition. provides an ideal basis for 25/28mm tires, the sizes currently popular.

2-Way Clincher Tubeless. Tubes or No-Tubes

Use either traditional tires with tubes, or tubeless tires without tubes. Tubeless tires can provide lower rolling resistance and better protection from punctures.

Sapim CX-RAY As light as a titanium spoke

The CX-Ray still receives the best results in fatigue testing of any spoke. The CX-Ray aero spoke combines excellent aerodynamics with low weight and great strength. Not only are they more aerodynamic, they also make wheels lighter and stronger. Its unique strength and flexibility make the CX-Ray suitable for most bicycle disciplines. CX-Ray spokes are used by top bike racers and triathletes around the world.
