If you want to go fast, but have wheels that are a bit resistant to crosswinds , then a 50mm deep rims is a good choice to go for. We now have our Aero 50mm deep rim in a disc brake format. Provided you have a set of Centrelock rotors, you’ll be able to quickly and easily fit our Aero 55 Disc to your bike and be on your way.

Our Aero 55 is made from a mix of Toray T700 and T800 carbon fiber. The mix has allowed us to keep the same, well-loved, rim shape from our Fast and Light wheels and make it around 100g lighter per wheelset.

You’ll still get the same tubeless ready wide and aero shape as the Fast and Light series. You’ll just now have less weight to carry uphill. Make 2019 the year you dominate Strava, and give our Aero 50 Disc a chance to take you there.

To help make sure you can slay Strava Segments, we have equipped the wheelset with a set of ICAN sealed bearing D01 hubs. These hubs are affordable, light, and very reliable. We have also made sure that they are very easy to service for those of us with a workshop in our garage.

Lacing the wheels, we have used the industry-leading Sapim CX-Ray spokes. These aero spokes are the choice of many professional wheelbuilders. The reason for it is simple; they are light and extremely fatigue resistant. The perfect spoke for any professional wheel build.

Features

Wide Rim Tech

25mm rim wide creates a better, more stable support, while the shape of the tire and rim together creates regular, stable air flow, in short, more aerodynamics, less attrition. provides an ideal basis for 25/28mm tires, the sizes currently popular.

2-Way Clincher Tubeless. Tubes or No-Tubes

Use either traditional tires with tubes, or tubeless tires without tubes. Tubeless tires can provide lower rolling resistance and better protection from punctures.

Sapim CX-RAY As light as a titanium spoke

The CX-Ray still receives the best results in fatigue testing of any spoke. The CX-Ray aero spoke combines excellent aerodynamics with low weight and great strength. Not only are they more aerodynamic, they also make wheels lighter and stronger. Its unique strength and flexibility make the CX-Ray suitable for most bicycle disciplines. CX-Ray spokes are used by top bike racers and triathletes around the world.

UCI Approved

This wheelset has been certified and approved by the UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale), for use in UCI sanctioned road races.
