AERO 45

Our Aero 45 carbon fiber wheels, are the deep section wheel for you if you like when the road goes up, as much as you like firing along on the flat. We have found our Aero 45 to weigh the same as some other companies climbing wheels, so you might as well get an aero advantage for those shallower climbs.
To get the weight low on our Aero 45 wheels, we’ve had to use a mix of Toray T700 and T800 carbon fiber. The mixing of these carbon fiber cloths in our layup has allowed us to lose around 100g per wheelset when compared to our Fast and Light 45 wheels.
We used the same wide, and blunt aero profile of the Fast and Light wheels, and we’ve made sure that the tubeless ready rim is just as strong and stiff as its sibling. Then to make the downhills as fun as the uphills, we’ve redesigned the brake track.
The brake track on our Fast and Light series rims is tolerant up to 240°. 240° is pretty tolerant of heat, and it is a similar level of heat tolerance compared to some big brands. Unlike some big brands, we felt that rim brake technology still deserved investment. We’ve managed to take the heat tolerance levels up to 300°.
You’ll also find the brand new ICAN R01 hubset on the Aero 45 wheels. The sealed bearing hubset is based on the hubs found on our Fast and Light series. We have also put them on a diet, and you’ll find a lower spoke count to help keep weight down.
To finish the wheels off, we have laced them with the exemplary Sapim CX-Ray spokes. These spoke ably combine titanium weight with steel strength — the perfect finish touch for our Aero 45 rim.
Features
Wide Rim Tech
25mm rim wide creates a better, more stable support, while the shape of the tire and rim together creates regular, stable air flow, in short, more aerodynamics, less attrition. provides an ideal basis for 25/28mm tires, the sizes currently popular.
2-Way Clincher Tubeless. Tubes or No-Tubes
Use either traditional tires with tubes, or tubeless tires without tubes. Tubeless tires can provide lower rolling resistance and better protection from punctures.
Sapim CX-RAY As light as a titanium spoke
The CX-Ray still receives the best results in fatigue testing of any spoke. The CX-Ray aero spoke combines excellent aerodynamics with low weight and great strength. Not only are they more aerodynamic, they also make wheels lighter and stronger. Its unique strength and flexibility make the CX-Ray suitable for most bicycle disciplines. CX-Ray spokes are used by top bike racers and triathletes around the world.
